AllySHIFT® begins with ALLYSHIP. Allyship is a supportive association with another person or group, who specifically represents members of a marginalized or historically discriminated population to which one does not belong. Those with power and self-admitted privilege are required to become more emotionally, mentally, physically and/or financially invested in individuals, groups and/or organizations that represent those marginalized by systemic inequity and injustice. Allies in the workplace are assumed to be people who hold positions of power and have the ability to leverage their social and professional capital on behalf of those with less access and advancement opportunity.
AllySHIFT® is the call to action. AllySHIFT® behavior is for EVERYONE and lives within and outside of the workplace, it is personal more than performative and has no expiration date.
